Cowboy was a special member of our family. The day he was born he hit the ground running. Early on he was struck by a car that resulted in a irreversible spinal cord injury, but our Cowboy never knew limitations. Being tenacious, he healed and kept on running whether in or out of his wheelchair. He had a short, but full life. Cowboy would play defense in football with the big kids, lay patiently while the little kids would brush and blow his hair dry after a bath. He would give other dogs a run for their money wrestling in the front yard, chasing his dog cousins through the house or mixing it up with his nemesis, the family cat Gato. Cowboy never lost his curious spirit. Admired by over 200 Instagram followers, he was a member of the very active wheelchair dog community. He was strong, smart and loving and will be forever missed by his family and canine friends.
