Jerry passed Friday January 20th, 2023 at the estimated age of 18-19 years old. He came into our life when he was a stray lanky kitten who walked into our yard and licked our dog right on the nose, this won my mom over so we kept him. We were both young when we met but according to my parents we connected almost instantly and he became my baby, my little shadow.
When I was little he would walk with me to the bathroom in the middle of the night to keep the monsters away.
When I was 5 he sat with me letting me trim all of his whiskers to the same length with a pair of safety scissors thinking they were like hair and he needed a haircut.
and all throughout his life all he ever wanted was to be with me rather it was on my lap, draped over my shoulder or just with a paw resting on my leg.
He loved food and later in his life I was able to teach him how to sit and stay for treats.
He was one of the most devoted, loving and patient creatures i’ve ever had the honor of meeting. He was my best friend all of his life and mine. I don’t remember a time without him and while loss has never really affected me his makes me feel as if I’ve lost a piece of myself. I will love and miss him for the rest of my life and I will never be the same without him. He’s left paw prints all over my heart that will forever be there.
I love you my handsome man, my smart boy, my bean, my baby and I will miss you immensely.
